That a special Village Election for the Village of Amityville will be held in said Village Tuesday, the 2nd day of November 2021 with the polls open between the hours of 8:00 am in the forenoon and 6:00 pm in the afternoon of that day, and that the place of voting for each of the eight (8) Election Districts in said Village shall be as follows:

That at such elections the duly registered voters of the Village shall vote on the following Proposition:

Shall Local Law No 3 of the year 2021 a local law to opt out of licensing and establishing cannabis dispensaries and on-site cannabis consumption establishments within the Village of Amityville, be approved?
A Board of Trustees Meeting will be held Monday, October 25th at 7:30 p.m. in the third floor court room of Village Hall, with a Work Session on Thursday, Oct. 21st at 8:15 a.m.

Applications for Senior Citizen and Veteran’s partial property tax exemptions for the 2022/2023 tax year are now available at Village Hall (21 Ireland Place) and on online at www.amityville.com. Call Village Hall at 631-264-6000 to find out if you qualify. ALL APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY 12/31/2021.

Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez and the Babylon Town Board have announced the Direct Support Program (DSP), which will provide $3 million to fund grants to support businesses, local nonprofits and veterans groups struggling to recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The town is using a portion of the monies it has received from the American Rescue Plan Local Recovery Fund in order to focus additional support to the town’s most underserved communities.
The Town of Babylon has fought hard to secure this money for the businesses and nonprofits within its boundaries and is now seeking to distribute the funds as quickly as possible, streamlining the application and approval process to cut out all unnecessary red tape.
“The Town wishes to directly support all organizations negatively impacted by the effects of the Covid-19 public health crisis. As such, the Town plans to use funds from the American Rescue Plan Local Recovery Fund to create the Town of Babylon Direct Support Program (“DSP”).”
