Come Support Our Veterans on Nov. 11th
At Village Veterans Day Service
The community is invited to pay tribute to our military veterans at a Veterans Day Service on Thursday, Nov. 11th, at the Village Triangle, on Broadway and Park Ave. The service starts promptly at 11 a.m.. with the bells of St. Mary’s Church ringing to honor those who have bravely served our country in both war and peacetime. The service continues the annual tradition of pausing at 11 a.m. on the 11th day of the 11th month to honor the service and sacrifice of servicemembers over the decades. Mayor Siry, the Trustees, other elected officials, and members of the Sgt. John J. Kreyer VFW Post and the Hunter Squires Jackson American Legion Post will be joined by vets from throughout the community for this show of respect and gratitude. The Amityville Memorial High School Band will provide musical accompaniment with patriotic selections.
