WW2 Vet participates in Honor Flight

IMG_0130This past July 4th Amityville honored its surviving World War II veterans in the annual parade. On October 4, 2015 World War II veteran Albert D’Andrea of Amityville, accompanied by his brother Gilbert D’Andrea, AMHS Class of ’61 took part in Honor Flight.

Honor Flight is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to transporting as many United States Military Veterans as possible to see the memorials of their respective wars. Currently their focus is on bringing World War II veterans to Washington D.C. to visit and reflect upon the World War II Memorial.
